What a session is like
About twelve minutes, most days. A few reviews of topics met before, then something new if it is time for it.
- A new topic starts with an example. Your child studies one worked example, finishes one that is half done, then does one alone.
- Reviews come back on a schedule. A topic answered well returns after a longer gap each time; one that went wrong comes back sooner.
- Mistakes are named. A wrong answer that matches a known misunderstanding is explained, not just marked.
On whatever your child has
Remelia runs in a web browser: on a laptop, a Chromebook, a tablet or a phone. There is nothing to install and no need for a tablet of your own.
Your child can use more than one device. Each keeps its own record until a grown-up links it to their account; after that every linked device shares one, so what was practised on the family laptop on Monday is there on the tablet on Tuesday.

- A weekly letter: what was practised, what is secure, what is not yet.
- How much of the exam’s maths is likely to be secure by exam day, as a range with its assumptions stated. Never a pass prediction.

Exams it prepares for
- Trafford grammar schools (FSCE)From 2028 entry the five Trafford grammar schools set one test, written by FSCE and based on the Key Stage 2 English and maths curriculum to the end of Year 5. From 2029 entry it moves to the summer term of Year 5.
- The King’s School, Chester (Quest)King’s Chester admits to Year 7 by an exam each January of Year 6: an online assessment from Quest Assessments, and a 30-minute written English paper.
Remelia covers the maths in these exams. It does not teach English, verbal or non-verbal reasoning.
What stays on the device
Nothing about the child leaves the device unless a grown-up links it to an account. Then only the child’s answers, the grown-ups’ settings and the device’s name go, and only to that account.
Why it is called Remelia
It is made from the names of the family it was built for: two sisters preparing for the 11+ and their mum, learning alongside them. About Remelia
